ICR has launched its biodiversity program
Our Vision Extends Beyond Carbon. Submit your project proposal and will contact you.
Submit your project proposals now.
Currently in its pilot phase for the first two years, this initiative establishes a high-integrity framework for biodiversity projects, providing a pathway for the registration and issuance of biodiversity credits. Our mission is to promote global sustainability through impactful biodiversity conservation and restoration. To participate, register your interest, submit your project proposal, and be sure to review the program documentation for detailed guidelines.
The Biodiversity Program focuses on supporting restoration and conservation projects that generate measurable biodiversity gains.
We welcome projects across a wide range of ecosystems, including terrestrial, freshwater, wetlands, marine, and urban ecosystems.
The program issues two types of credits: Conservation Credits and Restoration Credits, depending on the nature of the biodiversity project. Credits may be labeled “platinum” or “gold”, depending on the relative importance of the ecosystems or species being considered.
Our program is open to biodiversity projects from anywhere in the world. We invite submissions from all regions to foster global biodiversity conservation.
To apply, simply submit a concept note outlining your project idea. This initial submission will help us understand your project’s scope and potential biodiversity impacts.
Review the program documentation before submitting your application to understand the requirements and guidelines.
For information on associated costs, please review our fee schedule to understand the fees for project registration and credit issuance.
