TÜV Rheinland Joins ICR's VVB Network to Enhance Trust and Transparency in Carbon Markets
The International Carbon Registry (ICR) is pleased to announce that TÜV Rheinland has joined the network as an accredited Validation and Verification Body (VVB). This partnership aligns with ICR's dedication to upholding the highest standards of quality, transparency, and trust within the carbon markets.

Validation and verification are critical processes that ensure carbon projects comply with internationally recognized standards and deliver verifiable and measurable climate benefits. As an accredited VVB, TÜV Rheinland provides independent, third-party assessments to validate and verify the credibility of climate projects and carbon credits on a global scale.
Since 2006, TÜV Rheinland has been offering a broad range of carbon related services, such as verifications of cap-and-trade systems (e.g. EU ETS), validation and verification of carbon emission reduction projects and their GHG reductions. Since 2015, the service scope has expanded to include Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) as well as Corporate Carbon Footprints (CCF). TÜV Rheinland’s expertise encompasses environmental impact assessments and technical evaluations, supported by a digital platform that streamlines processes and workflows, facilitating seamless collaboration between project developers and auditors.
