Validation/verification bodies (VVBs) conduct assessing projects against the ICRs Requirements, ISO 14064-2:2019, and the requirements of the applied methodology. VVBs are qualified, independent third parties which ICR approves to conduct validation and verification. This independent assessment process is critical to ensuring the integrity of the projects registered with the ICR.
Validation and verification bodies are eligible to provide validation and verification services under the ICR if they are accredited under an ICR approved GHG program and/or accredited under ISO 14065:2013 by an accreditation body that is a member of the International Accreditation Forum and signed an agreement with ICR. For further information, please revise the ICR Requirement Document and the ICR Process Requirements.
